Support Frame: The Foundation of Structural Integrity
The frame serves as the main structure of a warehouse tent and is typically constructed using metal profiles:
● Uprights and Crossbeams: Made of galvanized steel pipes or aluminum alloy, these components are connected via bolts or pins to form a stable load-bearing system. The frame span can be adjusted according to site conditions, and the interior requires no additional supports, facilitating the stacking of goods and the movement of equipment
● Connection Nodes: The intersections of structural members feature reinforced designs to ensure continuous load transfer. The strength of these nodes directly impacts overall stability.
Covering Tarpaulins: A Protective Barrier
As a protective layer, tarpaulins provide shade, shelter from rain, and protection against dust:
● Base Fabric Material: Typically made of high-strength polyester fiber or woven polyethylene fabric, offering good tear and tensile resistance
● Functional Coatings: Waterproof and UV-resistant coatings are applied to the surface to extend the product’s outdoor service life. Some products also feature flame-retardant treatments to meet the requirements of specific storage environments
● Seam Sealing: Seams are sealed using heat-sealing or stitching followed by hot-melt adhesive application to prevent rainwater from seeping through needle holes
Anchoring System: Ensuring Wind Resistance
Warehouse tents must be securely anchored to the ground to withstand wind forces:
● Ground Anchor Fixation: On soft ground, use screw-in ground anchors or steel stakes driven to a certain depth, then tighten them to the frame using connecting straps
● Ballast Weighting: On hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt) where driving stakes is not possible, use sandbags, water bags, or precast concrete blocks placed on the column bases
● Guy Ropes: In high-wind areas, install diagonal guy ropes extending from the top of the frame to the ground on the outer sides to disperse the impact of wind forces on the structure
The materials and structure of storage tents work together to create a rapidly deployable temporary storage space. By appropriately selecting the frame, tent fabric, and anchoring methods, these tents can meet material storage needs across various sites and climatic conditions.
